I'm trying to configure public/private key authentication with an
Ubuntu SSH server. Everything should be set on the server side. I
connect regularly via putty and other clients.

I found a hint somewhere to put my key file in /sdcard/sshtunnel/.

Is there any manpage, wiki, or documentation?

You must rename your key file to "key", and put it in the folder
"/sdcard/sshtunnel/"

Does it work with a pass phrase or do I have to leave the passphrase blank?

To use a private key, you do not need a password. Leave it blank or
just input any words.

When I was asking about passphrases, I was referring to a passphrase on a key. I usually define my key pairs with a passphrase in the form of a memorable text string.

The current version does not appear to support these type of keys. I created a new user on my server and generated a phrase-less key pair. That worked.

SSHTunnel is up and running. I can now surf with confidence in the dirtiest wifi hotspots.

Documentation would be nice. I would pay for this app.
