Student film maker

Hey Folks - at the Columbia Teach-In on Wed, I talked with a student afterwards who is interested in making a short film with the workers about our campaigns. I didn't get a chance to talk a lot about it, but if this sounds like it's worth exploring, I can invite her to the meeting next week to discuss, or try to set up another mtg soon.

Sounds like it would be a great opportunity for people to hear lived experiences of the realities perpetuated by sweatshop owners  and to encounter people who are exploited by this system! We have the space reserved on Jan 31st for the usual time.

The West Side Rag web site covered the Saigon Grill closing (apparently it is open again) by the health department w/o mentioning the boycott.

I complained in the "comments" section and controversy broke out.  (read the comments).

Please add your comments -- this is a good way to show that West Siders don't support the Saigon Grill...

thank you, Eric... yes, I added a comment that noted that it was great that one of the yuppie denigrators "had a life."

i hope some other members of this list chime in on the comments on the side of the workers. this helps show that most West Siders are sympathetic to the boycott (I believe this to be true based on reactions to the picket.)
