FYI – from the Car Wash Workers Campaign

 

There will be a city wide car wash workers assembly next Wednesday, March 6, 730 pm, at 235 West 23rd st, 2nd floor.

 

All are invited to come and meet with car wash workers and their allies as they discuss recent victories and plan for struggles ahead.

this is indeed an interesting idea but i would suggest that it not be the first "mass" thing that we do (the first mass mass outreach to all the workers). i would suggest that we have something to offer them if this takes place... such as a union drive. (this doesn't have to be the only thing to offer them.) the car wash workers are having union drive(s), i believe.

similarly to the general assembly you describe, but not as ambitious, we can start having "public" meetings once every two months or so that feature speakers on workers rights, low wage workers rights, the rights of immigrant workers, and so on.
