Is anyone doing marketing for the conference? I.E. recruiting and/or
reminding EVERY chapter in the western region to try to make it to the
conference? It seems like we haven't had a number of people on the
conference calls that were really excited about the West Coast
conference when we first talked about it in DC last November...

Hey Brian,

That is definitely an important concern. Obviously, as outreach
director, I'm constantly promoting the conference to our current
chapters and to our new ones starting up. But thats not going to be enough.

For marketing - we are a bit behind - we need to make up some fliers and
put up our registration page.We decided on the call that the Theme of
the conference will be"The Perfect Storm" - so we'll start working on
designs of handbills/fliers asap. Once the registration page is setup
(plan is to do that today) - we can really start promoting and urging
students to sign up - giving us an actual head count.

That being said, we will need help from all of our chapter leaders to
promote the conference to their membership, to friends at other schools
that might be interested in starting a chapter, and for contacting other
chapters near them. Any suggestions are welcome and if our chapters are
speaking with one another about coming, I think we'll have a great
turnout. Plus, I think its more effective for our chapters to be pumping
each other up than it is for us old geezers in the office to do so ; )

Lets talk more about recruitment and bringing all of our chapters out here!
