PRELIMINARY ROUND 1

For a couple of organizational reasons, we're looking at holding your
team's preliminary round 1 debate on the afternoon of Thursday
February 28th  (and not Wednesday February 27th).

Your team has been drawn to face the team from Bowen Secondary School.
I've just spoken with the teacher co-ordinator there, who is fine with
her team debating on the afternoon of Thursday February 28th. However
she says that she'd much prefer it if her team could come to SAS's
campus for the debate. I hope that's ok with you.

Can we look at the debate being held at SAS at 3.30 pm on Thursday
February 28th?

The motion will be released on Thursday February 21st. (If you'd like
the motion to be e-mailed directly to your team members as well as two
of you, let me know.)


QUARTER-FINALS

We're very grateful for SAS's offer to make rooms available at your
campus for the quarter-finals. However I've talked through the
logistics with the rest of the organizing committee, and we don't
think it's feasible to hold the quarter-finals at a school which can't
also provide some student manpower for the event. Unfortunately we
therefore need to decline your kind offer regarding the
quarter-finals. Hopefully another school will be able to take on this
round.
