This is a great chance to practice big regatta starts over two days coached by two of the top national laser coaches.
 
The Gulf Coast Youth Sailing Association and the Texas Corinthian Yacht Club will host a Laser Starting Clinic on April 27 and 28.  The goal is to give Laser sailors an opportunity to  practice starts in a large participant group... At an incredibly reasonable price. 
 
  
Coaches:
Andrew Campbell, 2008 Laser Olympian
Ryan Minth, 2X World Radial Champion Coach
  
Cost: $30... (yes, it really is that little, that is not a typo) and it includes lunch on both Saturday and Sunday. Thank you to the Texas Corinthian Yacht Club and the Gulf Coast Youth Sailing Association!).  Payment can be made at the door. 
  
Boats: Lasers: Full Rig and Radial.  Sailors of 4.7 rigs are encouraged to come in a Radial. A limited supply of boat charters are available from www.KOSailing.com.  Please call early. 
  
Where: The Texas Corinthian Yacht Club (TCYC),
  
Dates and Time: Aprill 27 and April 28.  Rigged and Ready by 10A on both days.
 
How to get there: 
Drivers: plug the address in to your GPS! :)
Flyers:  Southwest Airlines  is offerening good fares as it is currently over a month away. Low cost weekend car rentals can currently be found for under $15 per day (www.carrentals.com).  Note: Houston has two large airports.  The massive IAH which is a hub for United and HOU which is a hub for Southwest.  HOU (southwest)  is 25 minutes from TCYC and IAH (United) is an hour from TCYC.
