Dear All,

PRESIDIUM INDIRAPURAM feels proud to share that we organized a prestigious
Inter-School Competition, Itihaas Anveshan 'In-Verse' 2014, an All-India
Competitive Heritage Event. Anveshan is a young writers'forum under which
projects are taken by the students of different schools to explore their
tradition, heritage and history; rediscover the joys of taking the best
from the past and weaving it into the future.

This event too required schools to research their heritage, document the
information in lyrical format, set it to music and sing in chorus. The
competition consisted of two levels, Zonals and Finals. The Zonal level
was held in Presidium Indirapuram as our school was chosen as the zonal
center school. In this event, 11 prestigious schools with about 30 teams
participated with full enthusiasm and performed with creative flourish.

The students participated under three categories:

1. Cheshta with the theme 'In-stone' mean built heritage structures.

2. Jumbish with the theme 'In-flow' means water structures or water as a
resource'.

3. Udgaar with the theme 'In-tangible' means any heritage that is not built.

For this competition, the students were required to identify a topic and
blend it with various aspects of our heritage. Then they were expected to
express their findings in a lyrical format with rhythmic and musical
quality lend by instruments. This was amazingly done by the students. The
mesmerizing performances lend the event a celebratory mood with songs of
heritage sung as if it was a confluence of the past with the present.

The team of the students of our school presented a beautiful and
scintillating song 'Sand of Time'. It was about the flow of thoughts that
took them through the stone-age era. Our versatile students did an
astounding job with an art form of song and music.

The students made the most of the performance time of 5 mins given to
them, expressing their innocent thoughts, beautifully woven in in a song.
They were judged upon parameters like research and innovation, lyrics and
tune, creativity, and master strokes. After qualifying the Zonals, the
students will perform at the Finals on 27/28th of August, 2014 at FICCI
Auditorium in the presence of renowned theatre personalities like Sanjana
Kapoor, Feisal Alkazi, The Indian Ocean band and an audience of
six-hundred people.

Our best wishes are with our students. We are optimist that our team will
qualify and claim their reign over the stage in the Finals saluting our
rich tradition and heritage.
