Here a sharing from my Maths teachers on the reflections based on
Lifeskills their students shared in the mathematics class.

Respected ma'am,

Lifeskills is one of the most important aspect of Presidium curriculum.Its
meaningful integration with mathematics was done during the introduction
session of Equivalent Fractions in grade 4. An interactive video
presentation was shown to the students where they watched a short story on
distribution of a gold bar.

After watching the presentation, students were asked to write the
reflection for the same in the notebook.
They wrote , " I saw and learnt from the presentation... " some excerpts
from the students reflection are :

1. "Listening is very important as if monsters have not listened to the
angels then distribution of gold was not possible and they would have kept
on fighting".
2."Friendship is more important than gold".
3."We can use fractions to divide gold equally".
4."We should be honest with our friends".
5."Small parts of gold make a big gold bar".
6."Friendship is gold, which is more costly than real gold".
7."we can not replace our friends by anything else".
8."I learned lifeskills that we should share everything".
9." Honesty and sharing is important".
10."I learned about equivalent fractions that fractions can be equal also".

Writing reflection has helped in strengthening the concept and added to
their long term learning. Also the students could easily connect with moral
values and unknowingly they were allowed to prepare themselves for the
value based questions that are recommended by CBSE.

Maths team thank currimakers for incorporating such a meaningful video in
the curriculum which had allowed each child to think independently and at
the same time imbibe the most important lifeskill values in themselves.
