Hey everyone,
As usual, we'll be meeting this Sunday from 1-3 PM in Harper Memorial Library Room 148, located at 1116 E 59th St. Now that we've covered all the core applied rationality techniques, I'll be teaching some miscellaneous other techniques; the exact content will depend on what people are interested in. This will likely be the second-to-last session of applied rationality training that I teach before moving away, so come through!
In case you missed the previous meetings, this video is endorsed by CFAR as a good introduction to the techniques I've taught so far (disclaimer: I haven't watched it myself).
If you are planning to come to this week's meeting and have not done so already, please take ten or so minutes to build a 'bugs list' - a list of problems in your life that we'll target with the applied rationality techniques. The generic prompt is "Everything would be perfect in my life, and I would be the best possible version of myself, except that… [bug].”
Also, I have a strong preference against running the May 14th meeting myself, as I may be unable to attend. So if you've been thinking about running a meeting of your own, that would be a great time to do it! Otherwise we will default to the reading group meeting format.
I hope to see you all on Sunday!
Claire
