Hello all,

I had a conversation or two at the recent ACX Everywhere event about where the regular events have been run. In the past we've had meetups at pubs in Cambridge, the Cambridge Public Library, group houses in Cambridge, some hiking trails in Malden, and Boston Common in Boston. There's also been a few LessWrong events at MIT classrooms, which are also mostly in Cambridge. It's a very Cambridge and centre Boston set of venues!

I'm interested in running things in new and different places, especially if there are people who'd be interested in going to meetups if something was happening closer to them. So, I open the conversation up to the crowd; where else sounds like it would make for a good meetup spot?

Dear all,

I think the Newton Centre Green in Newton is a pretty good venue, albeit a rather small one. I did successfully host a meetup there on Saturday September 9, and I intend to host other meetups there in the near future if attendee interest allows. A few other random suggestions in the area, in no particular order: Boston College, the Helmlock Gorge & Echo Bridge park, Skyline Park in Brookline, the Newton Free Library, anywhere along Hammond Pond Parkway, Brookline Reservoir - I could go on and on.

Also, Skyler: I do think the Malden trails deserve to stay. They're rather far from the Cambridge/Boston urban core (a little less so than Newton is, but still much longer than a day's walk).

Sincerely,
