Competitors,
It looks like this year’s regatta will be smaller than expected due to a conflict with events in New England but we are looking forward to the event both on and off the water. Currently we have AYC, EYC and GIYS fully committed and I believe FBYC is hoping to finalize a team to defend their 2016 1st place win.
Due to the number of competitors we’ve made the decision to make this a 1 day event so it will take place on Saturday, 16 September 2017. Most of you will head home for the evening but FBYC if your team would like to stay over please let Event Chair Margaret Podlich know so she can make arrangements with members to put you up – we’re happy to do it! Regardless of your travel plans that night we hope you’ll join us for the evening and enjoy the Junior/Intermediate Committee & Inter-Club Team Race Oktoberfest celebration at AYC’s Clubhouse. As with last year, dinner is included for all competitors. I’ll have the final guest fee next week so if you’d like to bring a non-competitor guest please let me know. I’ll need a RSVP from competitors and guests by 1700 Tuesday, 12 September.
As a reminder your entry fee includes lunch which will be available for pick up during registration and weigh-in. There will be an adjustment in the entry fee (EYC – I’ll have a refund for you) so stand by for more information. In the meantime GIYC, AYC and FBYC (fingers crossed) please complete the entry form and email it to me so I may prep the registration paperwork. Inter-Club Team Race Challenge
Once again we’ll ask the team that has a bye to assign a competitor from your team to one of the two umpire boats.
