The end of this year’s TESOD season is almost here; we have only two nights left in the series, September 4 and September 11. Juliet Thompson has taken the lead this summer on running the race committee, but she has not been available every week. We’ve had pretty good support so far from volunteers, but there have been a couple of times when we’ve been caught short. Fortunately, Mike Higgins has either been able to recruit some people on shore or step in himself at the last minute.  

We could use little extra help on race committee these next couple of Tuesdays.  It would be good to get people from the fleets that are benefiting the most from TESOD, but anyone else who wants to spend a pleasant Tuesday evening on the water and enjoy the food and socializing afterwards is welcome to come and help out.  (A big thank you to the TESOD sailors who have stepped up already this summer.)

Please put the word out to your fleets to see if we can come up with a few extra volunteers the next two Tuesday nights and help out with race committee, and ask them to contact Juliet Thompson <julze...@hotmail.com> if they can help.   Of course, more boats racing is always a good thing, too.  And if you have any creative ideas for ways to get more people interested in RC (for TESOD or in general) please pass them along.
