V-15ers!  Happy Holidays.  A few things...

Technical Committee?
The fleet captains nationally have had some dialogue over the past several months about who can make sails and associated specs.  My understanding is that to expand the number of sailmakers who can make new V15 sails, and to consider making changes such as allowing thicker cloth (e.g., Intensity Sails), a provisional technical committee needs to be formed.  If someone is interested, I can put you in touch with others who're focused on this matter.  Please let me know.  In the meantime, I think it's safe to say that we're laissez faire for our local stuff here in Annapolis.

New Leadership?
I have some exciting personal/professional news!  I will be running the Tred Avon Junior Sailing program this summer.  I already had barely enough time to contribute in a meaningful fashion, within the fleet captain role.  Would somebody else be willing to take the helm?

Move events to Fridays?
Drafts of the 2018 schedule are beginning to go throught the editing process.   Given the Tred Avon gig, Robbie and I will be unable to participate in Tuesday nights.  I know having our events overlap with TESODs has been convenient, but I worry that if I am not taking part, that may actually hurt participation significantly given our small number of boats to begin with.  Would folks be open to sailing on Friday nights?  If the other fleets and racing committee will support this, I see it as a win-win.  It would be fun to be at SSA on Friday nights!  Perhaps we can get the new food service to support this?  Between a small RC, and a group of V15 sailors, we may create start a critical mass and create a good excuse to hang out on Fridays without worrying about early morning work and camp.

Please let me know your thoughts on all three matters.
Best, Tim

We have a V-15 for sale.  It is hull# 00TVR063F898.  It is smoke blue above the waterline, light grey deck.  The boat is bone dry but has a couple of small (quarter sized) dings in the deck which are patched but cosmetically not so great.  The foils are good.  The sails are crap.  The rig is good.  It comes with a rig-up deck cover and a dolly.  Both are in good shape.

We want to sell it for $1,250.  Boat is located at SSA in Annapolis.  Please pass the word.

Have a great Holiday!

Cheers,

Keith Carew
