If we can say that Etymology is a science, that is the study of the
origins of words, than I have some strange ideas here too. My idea is
basically the Tower of Babel confusion that God created is at least
somewhat in our perceptions in that synonyms of words or related
concepts can always find similar words or cognates in other languages.

The idea is that the accent is thing which is confusing us and that if
we can get past a thick accent of someone, they may be saying words
albeit in an unexpected order or uncommon to our ears phrases but
still intelligible if heard a certain way.

Another concept is that words scientist use to describe things in
their most theoretical undertakings are homophones or words of the
same sounds of seemingly unconnected but it turn out deeply relevant
words or concepts. So when Super String Theorists talk about 'branes,
they are really talking about minds or "brains", their own brains
reflecting in reality or of greater intelligences than all of ours.

The idea is that one can obtain perhaps a deeper insight than even the
scientist intend by listening for homophones of the unusual words they
use for concepts in their specualtions and theories. In fact they
might not have chosen these words themselves but God himself led them
to choose words that are homophones to deeper concepts.

Etymology IS the study of how words relate in different languages and
how languages evolved. They can trace the word for "apple" in greek
worked it's way across the continent of Asia and became the word for
"apple" in Sanskrit. Just like there is an evolutionary tree for
animals, there is an evolutionary chart for languages. And yes, many
words are connected between languages, these are called conjugates.
Sorry, but this is not a new concept.

Here's a great chart. Some languages developed independently, and are
thus very different.

I don't think socrtwo is talking just about that classical
ethymology... Similarities between languages are not a new idea,
that's true, but similar meanings of things like "brain" and "brane"?
Well, though I'm far from accepting the idea of "new words put to our
brains by God - or other upper inteligence" (this in fact reminds me
about one old story by Isac Asimov about all the good jokes in the
word sent to the humankind by some extraterestrians scientists :D),
this way of thinking is surely very interesting. I have sometimes
wonder about some similar-soundings words in different languages.
However, if there is some upper-inteligence (God?) giving us
inspiration for new words, which should indicate some other meanings,
it must be great joker, sometimes... as for example future time of
french verb "to be" means in my language vulgar word for going on the
toilet and so on... Or does this God really want to say, that our
future is in our ar... er, in hell? :D

All truth leads to God and you need to start with the word that means
"truth" and the very word that God serves "PHYSICS" for God play no
roles outside of it and only a false God made up by men is claimed to
exist there, where no God can exist.
