"Natural Selection" I see is really composed of several different
kinds of selection, maybe four in all. The first might be the most
often thought about in the popular mind and maybe this is what should
really be called narrowly "natural" selection. A better term might
just be viability, but it would include everything that causes death
that is not related to other organisms but instead related to the
physical environment. Of course this would include weather and the
physical environment effecting surviving through falls, drowning etc.
Obviously some organisms will be more suited to survive the physics
and weather of their environments.

This "natural" selection though might also include the chemical
viability of the organism. Some individuals might be better adapted
to survive poisons such as mercury and lead found in the environment.
In addition to the physics and chemistry of the environment there is
the Biology of the organism. Is the organism made in the womb with
right organs and in stitched up in the right way by God to survive???
God himself is the greatest abortionist in humans, aborting I heard
once, 2 out of 3 fetuses or maybe that was 40%, whatever it is, it is
very high.

The second level of selection is also what is thought of as natural
selection, but it is predator selection. I believe that biologist and
the popular imagination is wrong here for the first time, I believe
that not all predation is opportunistic like John Locke's invisible
hand or Gordon Gecko's greed is good. I believe there is actually a
struggle between those that are opportunistic among the predators (and
some that are even simply destructive, mischievous or what we would
term evil) and those more wise among the predators, perhaps older
individuals that are understand that they as a predator play a role in
in the Ecology and are not meant to eat at every opportunistic moment
like stupid robots, but instead, are supposed to "prune" the tree of
their prey in such a way to keep the flock most fruitful or the entire
environment they are in most fruitful.

This struggle between good and evil predators is simplified in a
Disney movie about predators and prey, but the same kinds of
characters I bet do exist at all levels of life and are engaged in the
same kinds of good versus evil struggles that we can see in good
animation. This is why these animations have such resonance.

The third level of selection is of course sexual selection. I think
this too is exaggerated in popular impression. I believe it is not
always the most muscular and smart animals that win this game.
Females sometimes have a sixth sense about which animals that would be
the best mates which do not necessarily correlate with strength,
beauty or intelligence. instead again they have like a Spirit of God
that guides them as to which mate to choose or at least some of the
females are attuned to this spirit and choose on this basis, whereas
other females are bamboozled by the "douchebags" or deliberately
choose them in an evil way to visit their destructive children on life
on earth.

Finally I'm very certain there is a fourth selection which is self
selection. This simply means one organism sacrificing itself for
another. This is of course clearly seen in a mother or father
sacrificing themselves or committing suicide all at once or more
slowly so their children can live. However just as Christianity
portrays and values this sacrifice sometimes is chosen by the
individual I believe for someone outside it's family. In the popular
ans scientific thought this is deemed impossible and that animals
cannot make choices but are always constrained by their calculation of
what benefits the most their selfish genes. This is wrong wrong
wrong!

There is no life without sacrifice, and there is no improvement of
life or a moving forward or further development of it for all without
sacrifice of some (very few mind you) outside their family. Some will
even sacrifice for the welfare of the whole world (see Jesus). If real
human life consists of the sincere Church of Jesus Christ then it only
moves forward with seeds of the martyrs. This has always been true.
There have always been martyr organisms that die for the good of all
and they are the ones that have moved life forward for it's 4 billion
year history.
