Just as according to De Broglie's equations, all particles are also
waves, maybe all "real things" such as the effectiveness of a medical
treatment, are also a belief and these two things can not be
separated. Perhaps the closer we know the hard facts of something the
less we know about the very real belief component of anything and the
closer we know the belief component, the less we know the necessary
hard facts. They must be balanced.

So what follows is we will always need both scientists and priests.
The closer we are to science, the further we are away from belief and
balance and the closer we are to religion and belief the more foolish
we may be about the physical world. These things must be balanced and
like the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle at any one time we can know
only for certain one, say science, but cannot then know the other, in
this example the spirit.

Also in the realm of science, we must then say there is no separating
the beliefs of the experimenter from what he experiments with, they
influence the outcome. There is no such thing as a perfect
experiment.

However in the analogy to Physics, there is such a thing as Spirit and
Belief and perhaps it travels at the speed of light and is light, but
can never be attained through experimentation. Perhaps like particle
accelerator results and Einsteins theories, the closer we get to the
Truth through experimentation, the larger and more expensive the
experiments get. However it is in some ways a vain search as contact
with the Truth can only be attained through experimentation balanced
with belief. This does not negate the physical world and its laws.
The physical world works one way, Spirit works in the world of belief
but like light, interacts or shows the way through the physical world.

To say we must not have belief, only results of experiments, is like
then saying lets turn off the lights, and the sun and all the stars
and get by with just feeling our way. What stupidity that would be.
To know the full measure of Truth we must balance our knowledge of the
World with the knowledge of the Spirit.

I know these concepts need sharpening, but they are a start. I'm sure
they have been said before....
