Hi Everyone,

I'm running for the events position, and this is why I think you should vote for me.

I've been on the steering committee since it's inception. Each time we've had elections I've run for the positions where I believe that my approach and skills will allow me to solve an existing problem within Student Robotics.

When I was elected to the community position, I dealt with a number of communications problems head on, ensuring these issues didn't bubble out to affect the community at large.

When I was elected to the public interaction position, I used my skills to repeatedly communicate the ideas and progress of Student Robotics, I enjoyed this immensely: communicating what we do with other enthusiastic people is truly amazing.

I am running for the events position because I believe that a new approach is needed to organise the competition. I enjoyed the competition this year immensely, unfortunately that experience was not shared by all Blueshirts.

I find myself agreeing with Rob, when he says that an unreasonably high level of stress was placed on the heroic individuals, who fought fires in places where the organisation could have happened weeks before the competition. I feel that I can organise this event in a way that ensures everyone is on the same page as to what will happen. This is the only way to ensure that the community knows what is going on. This is the only way to ensure that problems are discovered and fixed in advance.

My manifesto lies in this simple declaration: I plan to communicate fully and openly about the organisation of the competition, attempt to spot holes in our preparation months in advance and ensure that all Blueshirts enjoy the event as much as the competitors do.

Vote for me :)
