Hi all,

For some time I’ve been thinking about the idea of starting a “News & Events” mailing list for volunteers. The idea being that volunteers can subscribe to the mailing list and a set number of people (currently the committee) will be able to post emails to it announcing events, news, etc. If you have an event that you would like to advertise, you will need to contact a member of the committee (probably me) and they will post it to that mailing list for you—assuming it’s appropriate. Generally the mailing list will contain newsletters (SRAWN, etc) and announcements of upcoming events at specific branches.

The first SRAWN of SR2016 will be posted this evening, both to ‘srobo’ and ‘srobo-news’ to ease the transition to the new mailing list, although in a few weeks they’ll be solely on ‘srobo-news’.
