As as result of the changes in ECS occurring over the next few months
we have lost out storage space in the vault, however ECS have given us
our own storeroom we can store kit in in the Mountbatten building
(level 4 off the seminar room).

The majority of the Kit move to the new storeroom happened today with
some stuff to be moved over on Monday. Thanks to the all the
Southampton blueshirts who helped with this today.

The current contents of the vault have all fitted in the cupboard (and
there is room to fit the remaining kit in there when the rest gets
moved). Unfortunately due to tome constraints the new layout of boxes
and kit is less than optimal and could do with some organizing. This
might be a task for people at the tech day tomorrow depending on the
team turnout.

Are we able to move our doings here? Otherwise it would be a pain to
have to interrupt other events in the seminar room to get kit during doings.

Murray.

I feel "storeroom" is glorifying it somewhat; I didn't measure it, but by my reckoning it's about 1.5x3.5m, and it's more of a large cupboard. Still, it seems it all fits. There's some shelving.

What's the situation with getting keys?

Most of this happened this evening. Any boxes which haven't been updated in the inventory yet are marked with pink tape, and will be dealt with next Wednesday.

We encountered a number of things which need dealing with. These are:
  • The old thin clients: 4 tower style units, and 5 set-top box style units. Unless anyone else who is interested collects them by next Wednesday, Henry will take them and hack on or dispose of them.
  • A box of USB hub power supplies marked for return to manufacturer after KickStart in 2013. Unless anyone can collect them or tells us what to do with them by next Wednesday they'll go in the WEEE bin.
  • Old paint, solvents and other chemicals: we're unsure of how to dispose of these.
  • Old glue syringes, which Tyler will dispose of next Wednesday.
  • Old charger leads, similarly.
  • Network switches belonging to Rich Barlow and possibly Steve English in the flight case. We're assuming that they're staying there at least until the competition.
  • Much old kit, the fate of which should be decided.
