Hi all,

There's quite a lot of features of the new motor boards which currently aren't exposed in the firmware. Next week we'll look at fixing that.

To start with, we'll document the build process for the firmware. Then we'll start working on one or more of the following features:

* Voltage and current measurement
* PWM braking
* Error reporting
* Changing PWM frequency
* Stepper motor control

Hope to see you there.

Since the access grid room had someone in and we didn't want to try to
persuade the room (neither of us have booked the room), we have moved
next door, to the lecture room on level 3.

This has been done, and is contained in a README file in a Gerrit patch [0].

* PWM braking

We then started to work towards PWM braking, by cleaning up the code and simplifying the control protocol. Work is continuing.

The version with the new control protocol (and a markdown file to document it) is now available in the `pwm` branch of motor-v4-fw.git.
