Kickstart Date

Hi,

In another thread[0] we'd resolved to announce the date for SR2017
Kickstart at the upcoming competition.

I should like to propose the SR2017 Kickstart being on the Saturday 15th
October.

I've compared against a few school holiday calendars and we shouldn't be
clashing with the half term holidays, so availability of competitors
shouldn't be an issue.

Does anyone have any issues with this date?

Looks good to me.

A question which stem from this is how many venues we'll want and
onwards to the number of teams we're planning to have.

I don't recall a date being announced at the competition, though we're
approaching the end of the schools' summer terms we need to get a date
fixed and out to the teachers so they're able to start planning for
it.

It wasn't announced, they were told it would be announced "soon".

A couple of days before the competition I was witness to a trustee meeting where I'm pretty certain it was actually agreed to announce this date. I'm not sure why that had changed by the end of the competition.

Do we have any confirmation on a date for Kickstart yet?

It's only about 2 months away now, and the schools need plenty of notice.

Registration for SR2017 will be opening shortly, and along with it the kickstart
date (15th Oct) will be announced to participating teams etc.
