Hi everyone,
A while back I suggested the idea of "Learning by Doings" [1], which
seemed relatively well received but didn't really go anywhere. During
the preparation for Kickstart, Giorgos happened to ask if I was going
to run some more of these, which I'd admittedly forgotten about.
The general idea of these was that someone who knew stuff would guide
a group of interested people through a task so that they all learnt
how to do stuff. The use of video calls enable this to be done in a
distributed manner.
I'll start running some more of these over the coming months probably
on a Monday evening, but if there's a better day I'm open to change
[2]. If anyone else would like to run some they're more than welcome,
in fact there are some topics [3] I'd really like to know more about!
If there's enough interest I can cover Trac, Git and Gerrit in an
evening each, or alternatively we could look at some of the more
specific parts of the SR infrastructure.
If there's something you want to know about, please reply to this thread!
Thanks,
Peter
