Hi all,

I'm about to start looking over the programming workshop material and simulator. As I wasn't around last year, does anyone have any feedback from then? If so, please post it here.

Also, Andy: please could you enlighten me on what machines we'll be doing the workshop on, and do you think it's too late to send out pre-event material?

Thanks,

Harry Cutts

I'd have to ask Dave regards equipment in physics labs. If you've got material to send to Tolu, the sooner he has it the sooner it can go out AFAIK (although residential weeks have started so there may be some delay)

OK, for now I'll assume that we'll be deploying to iSolutions machines. It would be nice if we can get the simulator and material pre-loaded onto the guest accounts, but I'll assume that we can't.

I'll send Tolu some material as soon as I can.

Thanks,

I've made five very minor changes to my Python: A Whirlwind Tour tutorial today. Without objection, I'll send it to Tolu tomorrow morning, and emphasize that doing any of it before the course is better than doing none of it. (Two years ago we said this, and students who hadn't completed it did so in the workshop before moving on to the simulator and worksheet.) The version I'll send is on GitHub [0].

I've now done this, and received an "out of office" auto-reply stating that Tolu will see the message on 13th July.

He's responding to emails, it's just he's now on residential courses for the rest of the summer so will be a little delayed in replying.
