Someone in my year showed me a PCB today that they'd had produced for
their 3YP, the best bit about it being it didn't cost them a penny.

Ordered from Spirit Circuits [1], for free, me and Alistair thought it
may help reduce costs in development.
Ok, so it wasn't the best quality PCB ever seen, no silk screen,
fairly thin, but was definitely functional. They sent off the design
on monday, it arrived friday, so not a bad turnaround either.

Yea, I've used Spirit's "Go Naked" service before. It's OK, the PCBs
that come out are completely usable -- I used this service a couple of
years ago to make my univ430 adapters [1]. However, don't expect a
reliable lead-time, nor for them to do it more than once for you...

Generally, if you've got some budget, pay for another service... (PCBs
are normally ~£70 on PCB Train, which is pretty much nothing).

Cheers,

Rob
