Hi,

At the following two Southampton tech days we’re most likely going to be building a make shift arena out of tables and other things we can find around the place.

Therefore this is a good opportunity to test how we should build the tokens or even build some competition-ready tokens well in advance of the competition.

So, do we have any progress on this front and any ideas about we are going to be building the tokens?

Having an arena, or partial arena, at a tech day is a brilliant idea,
and one that's been floating around for a number of years now.

However I fail to see why, now that the arena is made out of
~30cmx~150cm panels[0], that we don't just use a number of these. We
have enough to set up 8 arena corners in parallel, this means we can
easily do a couple of them at various tech days around the country even
if they are running on the same day. Transporting the sections to the
right place at the right time may be a tad interesting, but shouldn't be
too difficult.

[0] I didn't look them up, this is an approximation based on vague memory

We did want to do this originally, but we simply don’t have the money/resources in Southampton to hire a van to transport them.

Where are they at the moment?

As only ~6 should be needed to construct just a corner of it you should be able to fit them in a normal car, if any of you have access to one?

They are in storage, presumably near Newbury.

The only person I know is Murray, I’ll get in touch with him.
