First concept of a Logo and/ or CI for the Schüler bauen Roboter e.V.

Hallo alle zusammen,

hier sind pünktlich zum Montag die ersten Vorschläge für Logo und CI.

Ich kann leider nicht zur Besprechung der Ideen heute kommen, werde allerdings das
Vereinbarte anschließend ordentlich realisieren. ;)

Es wäre cool, wenn Ihr mir eure Beschlüsse irgendwie gesammelt zukommen lasst (steht aber auch auf der letzten Seite vom PDF)

Kein Problem, wir haben ja keine harte Deadline ;) Trotzdem super dass du es schon geschafft hast!

Zuerst: Tut mir leid, ich hab ganz vergessen dir mehr Infos zum Student Robotics corporate design zu geben. Aber du hast es ja auch ohne ziemlich gut hinbekommen ;P

Hier meine Anmerkungen zu deinen Vorschlägen:

Form: sehe ich ganz genau so

Farbe: Auch wenn deine Farben recht schön sind, würde ich entweder die Farben von SR übernehmen, oder bewusst davon abweichen.

Logo: Die SR-Logos mit SBR, SRobo, etc finde ich zu überladen.

Vorschlag: Das normale SR-Logo mit einem horizontalem Schwarz-Rot-Gold Balken im Hintergrund?

Die anderen Grafiken sind gut. Mir gefallen besonders der Klischee- und die Industrieroboter. Toll, wie die Buchstaben darin versteckt sind.

Wir können auch darüber nachdenken, die Silhoutte oder ein Bild eines tatsächlichen Roboters zu verwenden, vielleicht den ruhmreichen MAI senior?

Schrift: sehe ich ganz genau so. SR verwendet glaube ich Eurostile.

Nochmal vielen Dank, dass du das übernimmst, ich glaube mit dir haben wir da genau den richtigen gefunden :)

Given the previous response (from lilafisch, on the "Website" thread)
that Munich is a bit different from an SR branch, and is going to do
things other than just SR, I was curious to see what you'd come up
with for branding. I was somewhat expecting that you'd want to pick
something different to stand apart from SR.

With that in mind I was a little surprised that the proposals appear
to be (mostly) just copying SR's branding with some tweaks!

While I'm certainly not personally in a position to say that you can't
use our logo, I'm not particularly keen on the co-branding as
proposed. I've started a thread "External use of SR branding" [1] on
srobo@ which should hopefully generate some more discussion within the
community about how SR's branding can be used.

I do understand that you might be a little confused about what you've seen on this thread.

While it's true that we are experimenting with the idea of having a CI very similar to the SR-CI, we had no plans on doing that without your permission.

As said, it's just an idea and we still have no final decision, but we wanted to have concepts for both - a unique version and one with a strong connection to SR.

As for your idea(s), Laurenz:

  - personally I like the idea of having the MAI_Senior_2014 bot visible on the  logo, BUT I think I do speak for the entire team: This would effect the public perception of the entire project and this was never our intention when we joined Schüler bauen Roboter.

  - As for the German flag added to the SR-Logo: As Peter mentioned the use of the SR-Logo could cause problems and we need to discuss it - But I wouldn't do it anyway, because it could be difficult to incorporate it into our CI due to the weird combination of colors.

I'd like to get some feedback (if you feel like it)
