An Electric Vehicle Charging Station (EVCS) for fast DC charging of multiple Electric Vehicles (EVs) simultaneously is studied in this paper. A brief insight is put into the modeling aspects of EVCS in order to explain the control and stability of DC bus voltage in spite of varying load. Possible faults that generally occur on DC side are discussed. Faults of various fault impedances have been introduced at various fault locations of EVCS and corresponding effects on EVs are analyzed.
