Dear Colleagues,

As our department is ABET accredited, we have the responsibility to meet
their standards especially in Project work. ABET requirement of
Criterion 5: states that Each and every student should obtain the major
design experience through a project and incorporates appropriate
engineering standards and realistic constraints.

Hence every one of us (as supervisors/guide ) should try to incorporate
it and also see to that each and every project have multidisciplinary
components involved . The assessment will be made accordingly. Ensure
that the student's project report work explicitly state the design
statement considered under what realistic constraints, Engineering
Standards and also the involvement of the multidisciplinary activity (
say, computational, workshop, maintenance, mechanical, electrical,
inventory maintenance, instrumentation , desktop work etc...).

The ABET-Design project Proposal should be submitted by your students
during their Zeroth review to be held shortly (after theory Model exam).



Sample ABET Design Project Proposal form is attached for your reference.
Project coordinators kindly forward this to your section of students.
