Job Profile/Key Responsibilities
The Technical Consultant is responsible and accountable for (but not limited to) the following:
• Analyze, design and develop programming systems, making specific determinations about system performance.
• Code and front end functional, regression and integration testing so as to ensure that logic and syntax are correct, and that program results are accurate.
• Responsible for analysis of existing programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting of problems, and designing solutions to problematic programming.
• Document code consistently throughout the development process by listing a description of the program, special instructions, and any changes made in database tables on procedural, modular and database level.
• Responsible for reading, understanding, and utilizing wherever possible all prints, forms, spreadsheets and technical references.
• Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed
• Perform other duties as requested by IT Development Manager.
Skillset ->
• Sound knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Workflows and RDBMS Concepts.
• Advanced programming skills in .Net (Visual Basic / C#), ASP, HTML5, Scripting Languages & Access.
• In-depth knowledge of Relational database design, SQL Server/ Oracle & Access.
• Knowledge of atleast one popular Report Builder is a must, preferably SSRS or Crystal Reports.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Test Manager.
• Software Testing ISEB certification or equivalent (an advantage).
• Good Communication, Presentation & Documentation skills.
