Route of MahaNagar Sankirtan: We will start at Westlake Center at 1.30 pm and go towards Pike Place Market and loop back to Westlake Center

 

KIROTV, KOMOTV, KING5 and SEATTLETIMES will be covering Maha Nagar Sankirtana at Downtown.

 

·         Assemble at VCC for Carpool at 12 pm

·         Assemble at WestLake  Center for MahaSankirtan at 1.30 pm 400 Pine Street, Seattle, WA 98101

·         Parking Garage is near to Westlake Plaza

• 12 PM to 12.15 PM: Prasadam at temple
  
• 12.15 to 12.30 PM: Carpools form at VCC temple
  
• 1:00 PM to 1:20 PM Collecting together  at WestLake Center
  
• 1:30 PM Maha Sankirtana begins 
  
• 4:00 PM Maha Sankirtana concludes
  
• 4:15 PM Groups head to their vehicles

For this Gaura Purnima, Seattle devotees will be going to the Westlake Park, opposite to the Westlake mall and inundate the downtown with soul stimulating harinam.

 

This year we are expecting over 300 devotee prabhus, matajis, and kids and just like last year we will assemble at Westlake plaza area.  Anyone who receives this mail needs to come or miss out on the mercy flowing in on that day - our distribution group has 180 people and if everyone come we will have close to 400 people including kids.

When: Saturday March 19, 2016

Carpools form at VCC temple at 12.15 to 12:30 PM.  Drive time 30 - 40 mins to Westlake plaza.

1:20 PM Sankirtana begins - we will walk through Pike place market and continue to the promenade where we can do giant circle dance and distribute books and Burritos.  A special feature of this year is we are distributing 500 Free Vegetarian Burrito prasadam with juicy vegetables, Soy nuggets, Ghee, Tofu, Yogurt, mmm..please reach out to Bhakta Manoj and Bharti mataji (bharti...@yahoo.com), our fearless Sankirtana prasadam leaders if your or your friends would like to help

4:15 PM groups head to their vehicles

Parking can be expensive at around $10 for the duration so please do carpool.

 

Also to build the momentum please come to the Managala Arati every day between now and Gaura Purnima.  Went there today after a while and it was simple ecstatic.

“Yes, we shall base our preaching work on Lord Caitanya's formula: sankirtana. After all, He is God, and if He recommends, what is the question of failure? That is not possible. If we simply stick to this program as I have done it since the beginning, namely, kirtana, preaching, kirtana, distribution of prasadam if you do like this only that will be sufficient. Of course, you may make the kirtana as nice as possible, with dancing, many khols, karatalas, conches, and if you preach sincerely, anyone will listen and become convinced. The potency of Krsna consciousness movement does not come from some outward showing, no, it is the transcendental sound vibration of Hare Krsna mantra and the words of Bhagavad-Gita, Srimad-Bhagavatam, like that. So now go on and develop the things in this spirit, that will be nice"
