Hi All
Recently, I had the aqua-guard technician servicing my water purifier and he informed the salt, magnesium and calcium contents in the water is pretty high. I have personally experienced this affecting bathroom tiles, water purifier, washing machine, sink,
wash basin etc., and even the taps getting blocked due to salt deposition. I have attached few pictures of my bathroom tiles affected by the salty water. Not sure if it is happening after we have combined both bore and corporation water but it is better if
we do something sooner to reduce this content as it may even lead to health related issues like gall bladder stones, digestive disorders etc., I checked with the service engineer and it seems that systems like common RO purifier is very costly but we can have
a kind of water softener system for the main outlet of the water tank which can reduce the content of calcium and magnesium and remove the hardness in the water distributed to houses. I am not a technical expert in this area and if someone has better knowledge
about this can share your thoughts. I thought of sharing this information and if we get agreement from others to have the softener system, this may be combined as part of the Phase 2 activity if the budget permits.
Regards,
Ravi.
