Hi All,

As I have replaced my bedroom existing window AC's to split AC, I want to utilise the space meant for window ac unit and convert the area to a shelf. To do this, I need to close the wall (photo attached). Though I have plans to do this in both the rooms, currently I wish to proceed for one room at the east side (main gate entrance side). All the expenses related to this will be spent by me including the paint cost which I will pay separately to the contractor. If I miss now, it will be difficult for me to do later in order to match outer paint color. This has no impact to the building but just a cosmetic change. Let me know if you have any concerns before Wednesday (15-Sep)

Regards,
Ravi.

Dear All,

My request with Mr. Ravi and all other owners, we should refrain from constructing such additional masonry walls, slab / roof extensions etc that would start loading onto our existing / ageing superstructure.

These type of extensions / additions doesn’t only set a precedent to others but could cost all of us expensively in the long run, pls.

Regards,
Dinaka

Hi Dinaka and All,

As I mentioned earlier, this is not going to impact the aging superstructure in any way as I am going to just close the wall in order to utilize the space belonging to me. I also wish to avoid it becoming the home of insects and reptiles. Thanks for your understanding.

Regards,
Ravi.

Hi Mr. Ravi,
According to my understanding, you are going to remove your window and construct a wall, outside it. If this modification is done, there will be a change  in the total Square feet of your house and this space is taken up from the common space. “Our space” is only the space within our already constructed walls. The space that you are specifying now, is a part of the common area. Please check on these parameters before proceeding.

Thanks

If the below creation is how the new cupboard would result in, then pls refrain from creating additional built up area in one’s apartment unit !

This is unacceptable as our building CMDA approval would end up getting violated and we owners should not set such wrong precedent. Alacrity building Projects are known for their strict compliance with approved CMDA drawings unlike many builders, so let this stay in line, pls.

Thanks for your kind understanding Mr. Ravi.

Regards,
Dinaka
