Hi Pichu,

I agree that it's better to avoid air travel for these security hassles, 3-4 hrs. before the departures and the long traffic crummy car or taxi travel to the airports. But the trains here are not safe and hassle free either. In some cities like Phillie, the security checks are rigorous in the train stations as well and the Amtrak has a history of train accidents and derailments.

I would rather get into my Hybrid cars for local and not so-distant travels.  I am sure you would enjoy the trips here during your visit this year.
