Casual Cow to Compassionate Mother!

The fact that all of us volunteer at Srimaan Trust is enough to ensure that our cups are always full and overflowing.. We are so happy to receive divine experiences that we naturally want to spread it around. The knowledge of eternal truths scattered all around us is enough to bring about longer lasting happiness. Just as this awareness that a pradakshina done to a cow is equivalent to doing pradakshina to the entire bhoolokam. It was a revelation for the villagers to know that a cow is such a special creation of the Lord and that the mere sight of a cow is auspicious. The volunteers also asked them to do a pradakshina whenever they come across a cow.
Further, they were instructed to offer with gratitude a banana and agathhi keerai to the cows every Friday. Of course, traditional agricultural practises are accomplished with the help of a cow. To that extent the villagers practiced their reverence to the cow. In the recent times though, people seem to have forgotten these in their routine activities of farming and cattle rearing, which are looked upon more as a commercial practices.
This cultural gap was filled with the knowledge of how these simple acts of worship can be included even in their daily schedule. This re-awakened them and served as a reminder of their duty to the Cow. And they wholeheartedly pledged to perform go-puja every Friday. A very simple format of the puja was also taught, which they practiced with lot of devotion.
Thus, the cow which is an animal freely roaming about in the countryside now serves as a reminder of the compassionate mother - a radical change brought about by knowledge. Just as a mother gives unconditionally to her children, similarly a cow is an out-and-out giver of herself entirely. This shift in attitude contributed to the common becoming compassionate!

மகிழ்ச்சியை கொண்டாடுவதற்கான மிகச் சிறந்த வழி அதனை பகிர்ந்து கொள்வதே ஸ்ரீமாந் ட்ரஸ்டின் தன்னார்வலர்களான நாம் உணர்வு பூர்வமாக அனுபவம் கொள்ளும் விஷயம் என்னவென்றால் நம் மனங்கள் எப்போதும் நிரம்பி ததும்பி வழிகின்றன என்பதே. சேவை காரணமாக நாம் இயல்பாகவே பல திவ்ய அனுபவங்களை அடைகிறோம். அவை அனைத்தையும் பிறருக்கு பகிர்ந்து அளிக்கவே பெற்றுள்ளோம். எங்கும் விரவி நிற்கும் தெய்வீக அதிர்வலைகள் எப்போதும் நமக்கு இடையறா ஞானத்தை வழங்கி கொண்டே இருக்கிறது. கோமாதாவை ஒரு முறை வலம் வருவது இந்த பூலோகத்தையே வலம் வருவதற்கு ஒப்பானது என்பது போன்ற விஷய ஞானங்கள். கோமாதா இறைவன் நமக்கு அளித்துள்ள ஆகச் சிறந்த பொக்கிஷம் என்பதையும் அதன் புனிதத்தையும் எளிய கிராமத்து மக்களிடையே கொண்டு சேர்க்க விழைகிறோம். தினமும் கோமாதாவை மிகுந்த ஈடுபாட்டுடன் வலம் வந்து வணங்கவும், வெள்ளிக்கிழமைகளில் அன்புடன் வாழைப்பழம் மற்றும் அகத்திக்கீரை ப்ரஸாதித்து பூஜை செய்யும் பழக்கத்தையும் அறிமுகம் செய்துள்ளோம்.
நம் பாரம்பரிய விவசாய சம்பிரதாயங்களில் கோமாதா மிகவும் கொண்டாடப்பட்ட ஜீவன். சமீப காலமாக வணிக நோக்கில் மேற்கொள்ளப்படும் விவசாயம் மற்றும் பண்ணை நடைமுறைகள் காரணமாக தினசரி நடைமுறையில் இந்த கௌரவம் அருகியுள்ளது. இந்த கலாச்சார இடைவெளியை நிரப்பும் வகையில் கிராமத்து மக்களிடையே எளிய பூஜை நடைமுறைகளை மறு அறிமுகம் செய்துள்ளோம். இது அவர்களுக்கு விழிப்புணர்வை ஏற்படுத்தி நம் பாரம்பரியத்தின் நினைவூட்டலாகவும் அமைந்தது. அவர்கள் வெள்ளிக்கிழமைகளில் கோபூஜை செய்வதற்கு மனப்பூர்வமாக முன்வந்துள்ளனர். மிக எளிய பூஜை முறை கற்பிக்கப்பட்டு அதை அவர்கள் அர்ப்பணிப்புடன் செய்தனர்.
கிராமங்கள் தோறும் சுற்றி வரும் பசுக்கள் தற்போது கருணையுள்ளம் கொண்ட தாய்மையை நினைவூட்டும் ஜீவனாகி கிராமங்களில் ஓர் இனிய மாற்றத்தை ஏற்படுத்தி உள்ளது. எதிர்பார்ப்பு இல்லாத தாயன்பு போல பசுக்கள் அனைத்து வகையிலும் நமக்கு வாரி வழங்குகின்றன. இத்தன்மை நம் பண்புகளில் ஒன்றாகி கருணையை நம் இயல்பாகவே ஆக்கும்.
