The fortnight of Purattasi month in krishna paksha (waning phase of the moon) is observed by all as 'Mahalaya Paksham'. This is a sacred and auspicious time for performance of Shraddham to ancestors and for any kind of DAnam (charity). DAnam, unconditional service to humanity is one of the acts mentioned in our scriptures. Doing AnnadhAnam, Feeding the cows, performing any kind of charity during this Mahalaya paksham is extremely beneficial. It is believed that acts of charity performed during this period directly propitiates our ancestors.

 

Srimaan Trust will perform special AnnadhAnam (THADHIYARADHANAI) during this period and also feed the cows. We request one and all to participate and contribute for this auspicious event as a means to reflect your gratitude toward your ancestors
