Righveda & Yajurveda Upakarma (Avani Avittam) on Monday Aug 03, 2020 at SVK Temple

Namaste Devotees,

We will be performing Righvediya and Yajurvediya Upakarma (Avani Avittam) on Monday August 03, 2020 at SVK Temple.

For those who perform the Upakarma (Avani Avittam), we are going to do it virtually this year due to the COVID-19 situation. Devotees who have registered for the Upakarma will be mailed a special zoom meeting link, with instructions on preparations.  They can then log in to the meeting at the appropriate time, and the Priest will perform the Homa and give instructions to the participants, who will follow them in the safety of their own house.  In order to accommodate those who need to work or be on conference calls, we will perform this early in the morning in two sessions as follows:

06:30 AM to 07:45 AM for Yajur Veda

07:45 AM to 09:30 AM for Rig Veda

Those who perform this Upakarma and have registered, if  want you can collect the Yajnopavitham ( Janivara or Poonal ) and other items from the temple.   We will provide details to those who sign up as to when they can collect the items.

Please note the following:

We will start on time as, many may have other commitments right after this.  Please be there on time.

No one will be allowed into the temple to perform this puja.

$30 Temple Donation for Upakarma is appreciated.
