Sri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsava (Chandramaana)

Namaste Devotees,
With the blessings of Hari, Vayu, Gurugalu and Sri Sri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji of Sri Puthige Mutt Udupi, SVK Temple will be celebrating Sri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsava (Chandramana) on Tuesday August 11, 2020 at SVK Temple this year too. Due to the existing situation with Covid-19 we will have modified celebrations to conform with state and city mandated requirements. We are hereby requesting your cooperation and understanding in this matter as all the proceedings will be webcast and we request devotees to participate in cultural activities online. In light of this situation here are the details of the Janmashtami celebrations:
Tuesday August 11th, 2020:
Special Attraction 06:00 pm to 07:00 pm: Pre-recorded streaming of kids dressing up as Krishna and Radha
To parents of kids participating in krishan, Radha fancy dress show
- Kid(s) must be less than 10 years old.
- Record video of your kid(s) must dressed up as Krishna or Radha and email it to svkthou...@gmail.com.
- Video should not exceed 1 minute.
- Kids may perform sloka or song or bhajan.
- Video size should not exceed 25 MB.
- If you video size is bigger than 25 MB, please upload it your youtube channel and email me the link.
- Final date to submit your videos is 8/11/2020 before 3 PM.
- This is not a contest. Every participant will be emailed an e-certificate for participation the following week..

- 12:30 pm Ashtottara Archana
- 07:30 pm Sri Krishna Pooja & Mangala Aarathi.
- 08:00 pm to 09:00 pm temple will be open for special Darshan.
- 11:30 pm Sri Krishna Janmashtami Utsava Pooja.
- 11:57 pm Welcoming Sri Krishna – Argya Pradana – Maha Pooje (Moonrise – 11:57 pm)
