Hi Binil,As discussed, I met the doctor and also took second opinion too. The outcome of the opinion is same. Since, the recurrence of the bad cells are back within 18 months of the initial treatment, the doctors mentioned my son falls in high risk category and hence he need to be initiated with chemotherapy for 3 months starting Monday (21-Jan) post that they have suggested stem cell transplant is the only way to make my son survive.Risks : 1) During the first 3 months of chemotherapy it would be aggressive treatment and if by an chance the bad cells come back and multiples there would be danger to life.2) Stem cell transplant (Bone marrow transplant) has its own risks associated. Doc's have mentioned they would share more details after 1 month of initial treatment.3) Need to look for stem cell donor (unrelated donor) and for which hospital team would take care to look at the donor registry. Unfortunately, my daughter cannot give since she has her treatment going on and doctors advised that it is not possible to make her suffer to go thru all this as she is already suffering.4) Stem cell transplant need to be done immediately after 3 months of chemotherapy (provided matching donor's are available, else either me or my wife would need to donate, provided the cell match is close. 5) If the cell do mot match the acceptable criteria and there are no matching donor available, then they provide 4 months chemotherapy and then he would be in maintenance for 2 years, during this time, if the disease comes back and there is no chance of survival.Insurance :1) Have availed 10 lacks coverage (IBM) and out of which I have consumed 50 K already for Jan (20 days).------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Expected Cost : 1) Son's treatment cost :Total cost (initial 1 month treatment + Stem cell transplant)Initial 1 Month treatment - 6 Lacks2nd and 3rd month treatment cost - 2 lacksStem cell transplant - 20 lacksTotal : 28 Lacks for the treatment.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------2) Daughter's treatment cost : Dialysis alternate days per month 1 month until kidney transplant : 45 KKidney transplant cost - 10 to 12 lacks. As she is in waiting list 1, we might get call any moment for the transplant and need to be ready with it.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------As, I have exhausted my savings for last years treatment for the kids, Is there any way which I get crowd funding / any financial help, if so kindly help me. There is lot going in my mind presently, I am not in a position to talk to anyone and hence the email. I shall call you once I admit my son. Thanks and Regards,
Jay
