Sea of humanity at
Dharmakshetra - Ugadi & Cheti Chand Celebrations - 31st March, 2014
A sea of humanity covered Dharmakshetra and its environs on Monday for the
Cheti Chand Celebrations at Dharmakshetra on 31st March, 2014. The traffic ca...me
to a grinding halt. It was an awesome sight to see this spiritual lighthouse of
Dharmakshetra blessed by Bhagawan reflecting the sacred vibrations which touched
the conscience of each and every soul who had come here. Bhagawan had always
assured that those who visit Dharmakshetra with reverence will find a sense of
fulfillment, peace and also raise the level of their "Consciousness" or
"Awareness".
The day began in the morning with the Palkhi Yatra by the devotees of Sri
Swami Swami Samarth Maharaj followed by Prasadam.
In the evening the entire Dharmakshetra wore a festive look as people from
all walks of life joined in the celebrations.
The Rath Yatra of Sai Jhulelal began at 4.45 pm from Satya Deep and the
chariot went around the neigbourhood and converged back at Dharmakshetra after
an hour. Bhajans were sung purifying the atmosphere around the area .
After the lighting of the lamp by Sri Indulal Shah, International Advisor,
Sathya Sai Organisations (Overseas) and Trustee, Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust
and Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning, Prashanti Nilayam the programme
began.
Ms. Manju Nichani , Principal, K. C. College spoke on the importance of
speaking in Sindhi and highlighted her views very emphatically.
Ms. Kaajal Chandiramani, the nightingale of the Sindhi Community, brought
the house down time and again with her beautiful, melodious voice. It was a
power packed performance which went on for more than an hour. The program ended
with the Aarti to Lord Jhulelal and Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba followed by
Palau and prasadam.
Bhagawan's presence was indeed felt throughout the celebrations.
