Band Enthusiasts!
This Saturday June 4 is our last amazing musical blow-out! The
musical selections are very exciting and this should be an excellent
concert! The call time for the students is 12:00 and the concert is
at 2:00. It may last for 2-1/2 hours.
We are using this opportunity as a fund raiser as well. To that end,
the concert will cost $5.00 for each person who has not contributed
their full $350 to the program. In addition, we will open the snack
bar BEFORE the performance and OUTSIDE the theatre and sell water,
soda, coffee and snacks. I have quite a few candy bars left but we
would like to sell baked goods since we are opening up before the
concert. That way people have more time to consume said baked goods
so we will sell more.
Please let me know if you can bring some baked goods. I plan to have
the snack bar open outside the theatre at 1:15 or so. If you can come
early to contribute the baked goods and help me in the snack bar, that
would be excellent. If you just want to donate baked goods, I can get
them from you before 1:20. Please call my cell to coordinate
(858-722-3864).
Also we will have a MANDATORY PARENT MEETING on Monday June 6 at 7:00
pm in the music room. This meeting is for all returning marching band
students and NEW parents. Please come to discuss next year's
schedule, fund raising the meet the new victims... er parents...
who don't know what they are getting into... yet!!! If you know of
a new family, please let them know about this meeting since I do not
have their e mail addresses yet.
Also remember the band party in this Friday night. The theme is
roaring 20's...
Please let me know about the baked goods you can provide for Saturday.
