Band Enthusiasts...

This Friday April 1 (no fooling...  ) our students are performing in
Ramona.  We will be taking busses and need two parents for going to
Ramona and two parents coming back from Ramona to accompany (aka
babysit) these very roudy students on the bus...

We leave SRHS at 10:30 am so you would need to be at the band room at
10:00 on Friday morning.

The busses return from Ramona at 7:30 p,m.  However, with some
creative planning, you need not stay all day...  For instance, I can
ride one bus to Ramona in the morning, and my husband will pick me up
once Troy has performed (don't say anything to him if you see him, we
haven't quite gotten around to discussing this...).  If you and your
spouse wish to observe your student that day or evening, you may come
later and one of you drive home in the car and the lucky one who draws
the long straw gets to ride the bus home from Ramona with the
students...

The orchestra plays last, so perhaps the orchestra parents may
consider this alternative at the end of the day so that we can comply
with school rules and have one parent per bus.  What better "date
night" than being in Ramona listening to good music... then driving
back separately!

Please check your calendars and your spouse and let me know asap.
(Remember your wedding vows???  to Love, Honor and Volunteer eachother
til death do you part...)

Thanks for your help... again!!!

Also, for those of you who have not yet paid the transportation fee,
please do so.  We are rapidly running short of funds and need to pay
for the busses.  For those families who paid the entire $350, the
transportation fees are covered for marching band and for concert band
and you do NOT have to pay any additional fees.  For the rest, you
need to have paid at least $130 for the year for both marching band
and concert band if your talented and hard working child did both...

Considering the precarious position of our music program and director,
you should consider attending this performance in case this is the
last time we attend this festival.

Thanks!!!!!

Kristi
