Hey Band Families:
This Sunday is the Jazz Band and Chamber Orchestra performance at Lake
Poway for the Rotary Club of Poway. Performers eat free! Steak and
chicken, various salads, desserts and such.
I encourage parents and siblings to stay and enjoy the scenary, music
and company along with your children! Tickets for the BBQ are $45.00
for adults and $25.00 for children under 12. However, if we are from
SRHS band, we get $10,00 per ticket for our program! So think of it
as paying $35.00 for a steak and chicken dinner (and you don't have to
cook that night!) and $10.00 toward our band/orchestra activities!
If you are not staying, be sure to tell the ticket/guard booth at the
entrance of the lake that you are just dropping off a muscian and are
not staying. Otherwise they will charge you for parking. If you have
any difficulties or are lost, please call my cell phone at
858-722-3864.
Also, we had previously planned a mandatory parent meeting for Monday
May 16. However, that will be delayed until June 6. We need to
discuss transportation fees with the office before we can have this
meeting.
There will be a Board Meeting on May 23 at 7:00 for the Band Board.
