Hi Everyone!
I received both an e-mail & a phone call from Kevin Beiser saying that
he and Board President Richard Barrera will propose the reinstatement
of VAPA at the Board meeting this Tuesday, June 14 under item H-7:
"Restoration of Certain Certificated and Classified Positions." The
Board meeting starts at 2:00 with a long list of items preceding H-7.
It's hard to know when H-7 will be discussed. Sometimes they skip
around. THIS IS THE ONLY CORE CURRICULUM AREA (A-G) AT RISK. TELL
YOUR STUDENTS AND THEIR PARENTS! THEY ARE OUR STRONGEST ADVOCATES.
Board V.P. Dr. John Lee Evans is our best hope for a 3rd vote. Tell
everyone you know to write to him NOW:

SPEAKERS: SIGN UP ON LINE, CALL (619)725-5550 OR FILL OUT A FORM WHEN
YOU ARRIVE. Speakers will probably have one minute. THIS TIME WE
REALLY NEED A CROWD TO SUPPORT THE RESTORATION OF VAPA. OTHER GROUPS
WILL BE THERE PLEADING FOR SUPPORT.
Come to the Board meeting as soon as you can after school. I will
have SAVE MUSIC stickers & SAVE VAPA signs to hold inside the
auditorium.
