A message from Mr. Shedd

About a month ago I received a pink slip notice from the school
district. Given the budget situation in the state and district, it
has been a very unsettling several weeks not only for me personally
but for the future of this program.
Yesterday I thankfully received in writing a letter from the district
rescinding that notice and I will be the music director at Scripps for
the foreseeable future (or until I get another pink slip :) I am very
happy to be apart of not only a great community of parents and
students, but also a fine music program that has developed some of the
best young musicians of today.
I look forward to continue this tradition and I hope that you will
continue to give the support you have to ensure that we never lose the
arts in our schools.
