Good Friday and Easter Sunday Weekend

 

There will be two services on Good Friday, March 29th -- an open chapel from 12 noon to 3:00 p.m. to commemorate the final three hours of the passion of Jesus Christ (his suffering and death on the cross) and then a long meditation from 5:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. You are welcome to come at any time during this six-hour period; if you arrive during a period of silent meditation, please meditate in front of the altar downstairs until the next period of chanting begins.

 

The Easter Sunrise service commemorating the resurrection of Jesus Christ will take place on Sunday morning, March 31st, from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., followed by the regularly scheduled morning services. 

 

If you would like to join your fellow devotees for breakfast at 8:30 a.m. following the Easter Sunrise service, please bring a vegetarian breakfast dish to share and leave it in the kitchen prior to the Sunrise service. The breakfast will take place in the social hall downstairs at the Los Gatos Center.
