Los Gatos Center Announcements – November 20, 2012

    

Because of rehearsals for the Christmas Play, the long meditations taking place at the end of November and at the beginning of December will begin one hour later at 3 p.m.

 

There will be three more practices on the next three Sundays for the Christmas play, which will take place on Sunday, December 16th, after the morning services. Sunday school children and teens wishing to participate will be provided a snack and then practice from 12:30 until 2:15 p.m. Children ages 6 and under should only come the last two weeks for the first hour. More information is posted on the flyers downstairs at the Center.

 

All are invited to join our annual Thanksgiving vegetarian potluck dinner, which will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, November 22nd. Please bring a vegetarian dish that you would like to share with others and enter through the back door.

 

Next Sunday, November 25th, our Center is blessed to have Bro. Sarvananda lead the 11:00 a.m. reading service.

 

We will be decorating our Christmas tree on Friday, November 30th, starting at 10 a.m.  If you'd like to join in the fun, please contact Lynn at brokenshireL47 AT aol DOT com, so we can plan lunch.

 

On Sunday, December 2nd, we will be showing the first part of the DVD entitled Him I Shall Follow: Remembrances of My Life with Paramahansa Yogananda by Sri Daya Mata.

 

The holiday craft and bake sale fund-raiser is scheduled for Sunday, December 2nd downstairs in the social hall directly after the 11:00 a.m. service. This year we are asking for donations of bake/snack items or holiday decoration items. We ask that these items already be priced beforehand if possible. Contributions can be left downstairs before the Sunday services. Proceeds go to the Los Gatos Center Scholarship Fund.

 

The book room, located downstairs at the Center, is open on Sunday after the morning services from 12 noon until12:30 p.m.
