Los Gatos Center Announcements – July 7, 2013

On Thursday, July 11th, the monthly kirtan service will take the place of the traditional Thursday inspirational service. If you enjoy awakening devotion in your heart for God and Gurus through chanting, this is a great service to attend.

The next Sunday six-hour meditation will take place on July 14th at 2 p.m.

The next monastic visit for the Los Gatos Center is scheduled for the weekend of July 19th – 21st. There will be a dinner Friday evening, July 19th, at a nearby restaurant. Details about this dinner will follow.

On Saturday, July 20th, Br. Devananda will lead a four-hour meditation with kirtan, starting at 9:00 a.m. and ending at 1:00 p.m. On Sunday, July 21st, the monks will lead the morning services. Afterward, all are invited to stay for a vegetarian potluck luncheon.

Please bring a vegetarian dish to share with the monks and your fellow devotees at the potluck luncheon on Sunday, July 21st. Main dishes, finger foods, salads, fruits, snacks, and desserts are all welcome additions.

If you are interested in attending the Center Representatives Conference at the Lake Shrine on Saturday, August 3rd, prior to the start of the annual SRF Convocation, please sign the sign-up sheet on the bulletin board downstairs.

More ushers and service readers are needed for midweek and Sunday services!! If you are a current SRF Lessons student and interested in serving as an usher, please sign the usher sign-up sheet on the bulletin board downstairs. The book room, located downstairs, is open from 12 noon until 12:30 p.m. each Sunday. Please do not bring food or drink into the book room.
