SRF LGC: Upcoming services honoring mahasamadhis of our Guru and Paramguru

Los Gatos Center Announcements dated February 28, 2013
On Saturday, March 2nd, all are welcome to attend a six-hour meditation with kirtan in honor of the mahasamadhis of our Guru, Paramahansa Yogananda, and our Paramguru, Swami Sri Yukteswar. This special meditation begins at 10 a.m. and concludes at 4 p.m. There will be a 20-minute break at 1 p.m.
The
evening commemorative honoring the mahasamadhi of Paramahansa Yogananda will
take place on Thursday, March 7th, starting with a meditation at
7:00 p.m. and the commemorative service from 8:00 to 9:30 p.m. The
commemorative honoring the mahasamadhi of Swami Sri Yukteswar will take place on Saturday, March 9th, and will follow the same time frame as the
commemorative service for Master. Please bring a flower and a monetary donation in an envelope if you are able as offerings to each Guru. At the 8:00 service, the service reader will announce when it is time for parents with young children to come forth with their offerings. We ask that young children stay only a short time in the main sanctuary. Parents may continue meditating with their children in front of the altar downstairs.
Ongoing Activities at the Los Gatos Center:
A reminder to all that each week on Sunday morning at 9:00 AM, a Second Coming meditation group takes place downstairs at the Center. The point of contact is Sue Leeder: suel...@gmail.com.
The book room at the Los Gatos Center is open after the Sunday Service from 12 noon to 12:30 p.m.
This month's kirtan service will take place on Thursday evening, March 14th, starting at 7:30 p.m.
Hatha Yoga classes take place on certain Friday evenings at the Center. To find out more about when these classes are taking place, please contact Lisa Jenkinson: 973-767-6473. Cost is free will donation. Please bring your own yoga equipment (mat, strap, block and towel or blanket) to this class if you have them and enter the church building through the back door. If you don’t have any yoga equipment, there are usually some extra mats, etc. that you are welcome to use.
