Done spamming - I swear

Alright, I've just added/invited everyone to share the SREE GSO Google Calendar and with that, I should be done spamming.

Remember, the blog/calendar/email list won't work, unless they're actually used. So, if you know of an upcoming conference deadline, post it to the calendar (or maybe the list?). If you read an interesting paper or article, post it to the blog for discussion.

Hi Iris -

Thanks for your persistence. I made an addition to the calendar. One glitch with it is that, when I view it through the blog and click to view event details, the info bubble gets half cropped (and is unviewable); thus, the only way to view details on the event is to go through the Google Calendar link. This is, of course, a very minor issue. Please don't let me sound like I'm ragging the tools: first, because I'm aware that it could very well be that I'm doing it wrong; second, they are actually terrific--especially considering the level of traffic they will likely get at the outset. Thus, on behalf of all of us, thank you for getting these gears turning.

I also wanted to let you know that I heard back from Rob, he says that he and Tyler talked this afternoon, and that we can expect to hear from him soon. I also told Rob that you were the one who took the lead on getting the Google tools up and running, and that you'd be the best among us to interface with Tyler on working out all the bugs. Lastly, I mentioned that we have yet to do any official nominations for offices, but that I will be casting my ballot for you as Technical Chair and Beth as Conference Chair. For myself, I'll be happy to assume any role that the group settles on. I think shortly after the group is formally addressed by Rob and Tyler--and we start discussing next steps--we should dialogue on what responsibilities we will expect officers to uphold, and make nominations for those offices.
