I echo Monsieur Gump's sentiments. It's fantastic to see the club
becoming more of a club! It was particularly pleasing to see such a
mixture of athletes young and old bringing along friends and relatives
- it was a really enjoyable evening. Over 90 people at a club do - as
Tony said that must be the record - it certainly bodes well for the
future of the club.
What's more, it wasn't just a club evening, there was a club morning
as well. The final Saturday morning junior session of the year took
the form of a Treasure Hunt with prizes, presents and some food and
drink. It was another fun filled occasion with over 30 juniors taking
part. It was certainly a good spectator sport - general chaos was
caused by most of the younger ones not bothering to read the clues -
they just took off and ran. China and I had to act like shepherds
looking after their flock! We managed to stop them getting too lost
and gather them in in time for lunch. Big up to Adrienne, Agnes, Ross
for helping organise it and China and John Murdo for assisting on the
day.
